Clinical Aromatherapy Certification Course Classes
For those students seeking advanced training leading to certification in clinical aromatherapy, the Institute of Spiritual Healing and Aromatherapy offers a unique holistic approach that integrates prayer and energy healing methods along with the science and art of the use of essential oils.
The ISHA program sponsored by Body of Truth Holistic Spas is a 240 hour course of study that includes three courses, reading homework, a research project and paper, tele-seminars, and written exams. This program offers exciting education on the healing properties of essential oils and their safe use for self and others. In addition, a unique, holistic approach is provided - integrating prayer, energy healing methods, and the art and science of essential oils.
This program is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB as a continuing education approved provider. The school is approved as a school of aromatherapy by the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) and by the Alliance of International Aromatherapists (AIA). Continuing education contact hours are based on a 50-minute hour.

Clinical Aromatherapy Certification Course, Part 1: CCA 301 - Sent To Heal and Anoint

Description: Just as early people used their hands and the plants of the earth to heal one another, we too can practice this ancient healing tradition today through aromatherapy and hands-on healing. This 2 1/2 day course course explores the healing traditions of essential oils from ancient cultures our Biblical experience, medieval healers and our modern day. The science of aromatic oils and their vibrational frequencies are explored. In this course, students integrate essential oils with heart-centered energetic healing techniques through various guided experiences. Groundwork is laid in this course for those continuing in the certification in aromatherapy program.
Instructor: Barbara Salage - CMT, CHTP
Barbara is a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner, a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist and a massage therapist with a fulltime practice in Arvada, Colorado. She has an an AA degree from Red Rocks Community College in 1996 and her massage certification in 1997 from the Colorado School of Healing Arts. In March of 2000 she certified as a Healing Touch practitioner. As a massage therapist, spiritual ministry and aromatherapy play an integral part in her work. Barbara has been associated with the HTSM program since its inception and sees spirituality as a necessary component of healing. Clinical Aromatherapy Certification Course, Part 2: CCA 302 - Advanced Oils Class 1

Description: Course 302 is Essential Oils for Physical Health and Well Being. (This class was formerly known as Part 9.) This 24-hour course builds on the information presented in the Sent to Heal and Anoint Course 301. It looks deeper into the healing qualities of certain essential oils known to be helpful for the physical body, namely those that promote healthy skin, aid the body’s natural defenses, promote general health, vitality and longevity, improve nutrition and boost stamina and energy. The basic chemistry of these oils is discussed along with the oil’s vibrational frequencies, toxicity and essential oil safety. The students are then led in a series of heart-centered healing techniques utilizing energetic healing and aromatherapy.

Pat Is a certified healing touch practitioner. As a holistic nurse she has over 40 years of experience specializing in Pediatrics, Cardiology, Critical Care and Emergency Room. She maintains a private practice in which spiritual ministry and aromatherapy are an integral part as well as continuing her studies in the healing art of essential oils. She holds a Masters Degree in Religious Studies, is a certified labyrinth facilitator and most recently, is a certified clinical aromatherapist. Volunteer time is spent as a parish nurse and Stephen's Minister. Professional membership includes Sigma Theta Tau - Nursing Honor Society. Description: Course 303 is Essential Oils for Emotional & Spiritual Clearing. This 24 hour advanced course continues the healing work presented in Course 302. It begins with the history and modern development of essential oils, the basics of taxonomy, and the incorporation of essential oils into a holistic healing practice. The course will then examine the healing qualities of certain essential oils known to be helpful for emotional and spiritual clearing—elevating moods, mental clarity, reduction of anxiety and stress and that are spiritually uplifting and aid meditation. The chemistry of these oils will be explored along with the oil’s vibrational frequencies and essential oil safety. Students will be led in a series of heart-centered healing techniques utilizing energetic healing and aromatherapy. Course 301 and 302 are pre requisites for Course 303.

Debra is a certified nurse practitioner specializing in holistic health. She also holds certifications in holistic nursing and as a Nia Black Belt Instructor. Nia is a form of holistic movement. Deb has given many presentations on energy therapy, aromatherapy and other complementary health practices both locally and nationally. Deb is an active member in her Lutheran Church. Spiritual ministry, guided imagery and clinical aromatherapy are integral in her private healing practice.
